The Fuerteventura region
Holiday makers in Fuerteventura can enjoy an almost perfect climate where temperatures range from 17C in January to 25C in August.
The island is most famous for its beaches with miles of stunning golden sand. Tourism is a recent phenomenon on the island. However, Fuerteventura has a good variety of activities to keep tourists busy. The area has golf courses - including Fuerteventura golf club which was home to the 2004 Spanish Open, a water park, a Zoo and marine excursions. If you enjoy watersports the island offers surfing, Windsurfing, fishing and diving.

The Caleta de Fuste / Amuley Mar Phase 2 area
The beautiful sandy beach is just 10 minutes walk away and the water is safe for swimming - making it ideal for families with young children. The endless beaches of Sotavento and Jandia are 40 mins drive away and are definitely worth a visit. 40 miles to the north you will find white sand dunes and beaches near Corralejo. The water park is only a bus ride away so why not stop off in the capital Puerto del Rosario on the way or take a 40 minute ferry trip from the capital to the island of Lanzarote.

The airport is just 8km away and a taxi is circa 10 euro, and takes 10 minutes at the most.
Car Hire
